Romans 4:13-25 – By Faith, Say Yes to God
1. The promise of God to Abraham was through the righteousness of faith.
(v 13) Abraham received God’s promise to be heir of the world by faith in the unseen God. God also said it – Abraham believed it. Romans 10:8-17
(v 14-16) No religious ceremony or law can save. The promise comes through faith. Ephesians 2:8,9
2. The Promise of God was confidently received by Abraham.
(v17-19) Abraham acted by faith in the unseen God’s promise.
(v20-22) Though his circumstances seemed impossible, Abraham’s faith did not waver in the face of God’s promise. Hebrews 11:8-12
3. The Promise of God for salvation is available to you and to me today.
(v23-34a) The promise of salvation is for us today. By faith we can accept God’s free gift of salvation.
(v24b) Jesus died for all people. You can receive His free gift of forgiveness today and be justified. You too can have confidence to trust the unseen God. Romans 6:23
