Welcome to Town Creek

Visiting a church for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. We want to help make your first visit feel as though you’ve been here before. It is our prayer that once you have visited, you will want to return and become a part of the church family that worships at Town Creek.

Our Worship Service starts at 10:30 on Sunday mornings and runs until around noon. We start each service by singing a blend of both contemporary and traditional worship songs. Next is a sermon, typically given by our lead pastor, Rev Clint Smith. On the second and fourth Sundays of each month, children from 4k-5th grade have the option of leaving the Worship Center prior to the sermon and attending Children’s Church. On the first Sunday of every month, we end service by taking part in the Lord’s Supper.

We believe life is better when we do it together with people who care. Our co-ed Lifegroups meet each Sunday morning from 9:00-10:00 and are designed to foster community through bible study, fellowship, prayer and accountability. We would love to have you visit a class and meet some of our members who are going through the same stage of life as you. Any of our greeters stationed at the main entrances can help you find your way.

Regular adult Discipleship times are Sundays at 5pm and Wednesdays at 6pm, but additional home groups and studies occur throughout the week. These short-term bible study groups will equip you to grow deeper in your walk with the Lord. There are often several types of classes to choose from, though sometimes our church body goes through a single study together.

Both Kids and Youth have specific Lifegroups on Sunday mornings and activities on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Nursery is available during all service times for infants through 4 years old.

We have ample parking on our campus with reserved spots up front for our guests. Our greeters will help you find your way to Lifegroups or the Worship Center. They can also assist if you would like to take advantage of our nursery.
We are more concerned that we meet your real life needs than with what you wear. When you visit Town Creek, you will see some men in coats and ties and others dressed more casually. You will find women in both dresses and more casual attire. Most of our young people wear the same clothes at church that they wear at school.

The best way to get connected is to join one of our Lifegroups that meet before the worship service. They are a great way to meet people and experience God together.

Additionally, we encourage you to attend our new members class called Starting Point. This 90 minute class, held the second Sunday of the month at 2:30pm will give you the opportunity to learn more about our Faith Family. Starting Point is required for membership, but attending the class does not obligate you to membership.

Please feel free to call us at 803-649-9792, email office@towncreekbaptist.com, or ask us via the contact form at the bottom of this page.

If you would like to talk to us in person, our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30-5 and Friday 8:30-12. Call us to schedule an appointment or just drop on in.

Our Beliefs

Town Creek Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church. We are affiliated with the Aiken Baptist Association, the South Carolina Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. We are a Biblically conservative Faith Family that affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error.
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of our lost world.
We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin.

We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Spirit, every believer should mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ and have given witness to Him through baptism by immersion. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.
We believe God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. We believe marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Marriage is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race.

Seek. Serve. Share.
