Our special guest speaker is Ashley Smith Robinson who will be sharing how her faith in Jesus Christ changed her life and how He can change yours. On March 11, 2005, Ashley made headlines as the single mother who persuaded Brian Nichols, Atlanta’s courtroom killer, to miraculously surrender to police. Nichols took her hostage for seven hours in her suburban Atlanta apartment while on the run, but God brought about a spiritual collision between the two broken lives. By sharing her personal faith and reading the Bible and “The Purpose-Driven Life” out loud to her captor, God brought the killer’s murderous rampage to a peaceful end while simultaneously helping Ashley overcome her personal battles.
Ashley’s life, plagued by bad decisions, was drastically changed that night. We can learn from her experience that no matter what is in our past, God forgives and changes us. Only He has the power to break the shackles of addictions.
