Biblical Faith – Better Faith (Hebrews 11:1-6)

Biblical faith is a wonderful gift from God that enables us to trust Him even when life feels complicated or uncertain. It’s more than just believing in God, it’s an active, wholehearted trust rooted in His perfect character. True faith shows itself through obedience, integrity, and confident assurance that God is in control, even when we can’t see what He’s doing. It anchors us in the unseen realities and future promises of God.

God evaluated the righteous patriarchs of old, By faith they gained divine approval and a strong spiritual reputation. We learn from them to trust and rely on God’s character, promises, and power, even when circumstances seem uncertain.

By faith, that is, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom, and goodness of God, we realize that all of Creation and the ages were framed and created, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose by the Word of God.

Faith not only helps us believe God’s divine truth but also deepens our spiritual perception of the unseen. Through faith, we come to know our Creator more intimately and begin to recognize His purpose for our lives. Just as God’s spoken Word brought the visible world into existence, our faith enables us to perceive and trust the unseen workings of His divine plan. Genesis 1:1–31; 2:1–25

By faith, Abel offered a better sacrifice to God than his brother Cain. Because of his faith, God showed that Abel was right with Him by accepting his offering. Even though Abel died long ago, his faith still speaks to us today about what it means to trust and obey God. Genesis 4:1-12

By faith, Enoch lived in a way that pleased God. Because of that, God took him straight to heaven, and he never had to experience death. Before he was taken, God and people knew that Enoch walked closely with God and righteously pleased Him. Genesis 5:18-24

Without faith, it’s impossible to walk with God or make Him happy. Anyone who wants to be close to God must believe that He is real and that He rewards those who honestly seek Him and keep trusting Him with all their being.
