A Peacemaker’s Resume – Matthew 5:1-9

Genuine peace begins with a Genuine Source, His name is Jesus. Isaiah 9:6 refers to Jesus as the Prince of Peace. So a peacemaker’s resume must begin with the Source of Peace – Jesus. Salvation is found in no other name but the Name of Jesus. (Acts 4:10-12)

The Scripture tells us we may have peace with God because of the shed blood of Jesus. When He took our sins on the cross, He took our sins on the cross! (Romans 5:1-5)

In today’s focal passage, Jesus made a promise to those who are truly peacemakers – those who are spiritually secure – they shall be called the sons of God.

Can we really fathom the greatness of this promise? God calls us His children!

If then we are His children, how show we live?

The Holy Spirit leads us. (John 14:25-27)

The Holy Scriptures teach us. (Romans 12:1,2; Galatians 5:16,17)

The goal of this life is not world peace. Our flesh, the worlds system, and Satan’s team war against us daily. Our fight is to live in peace, be His ambassadors, and help others be reconciled to Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:16-21)

God is an ever-present Help to the peacemaker. (Isaiah 26:3; Matthew 28:18-20)

The children of God will walk daily in wisdom. When they sin, they run quickly to the throne of their Heavenly Father for forgiveness. God loves His children. (John 3:16; John 1:12,13; James 3:13-18)

Are you walking in peace with God today?
Do you know Him as your Lord and Savior?
Is God pleased with your daily living?
