It is the duty of Christians to seek peace with all men on principles of righteousness. In accordance with the spirit and teachings of Christ they should do all in their power to put an end to war.
The true remedy for the war spirit is the gospel of our Lord. The supreme need of the world is the acceptance of His teachings in all the affairs of men and nations, and the practical application of His law of love. Christian people throughout the world should pray for the reign of the Prince of Peace. – Baptist Faith & Message 2000
Truth #1 – God has granted us lives with seasons.
(v. 1,2) God has calendared our beginning and our end.
(v. 3-7) As Christians our season of life should always draw us closer to God.
Romans 8:28, Ephesians 5:12-21, Hebrews 11:6, James 4:7-10
Truth #2 – God has guidance for us in all seasons.
(v. 8a) God knows the days of war will come. War is a direct result of sin. Sin brings death. There are 89 wars written about in the Old Testament. Jesus even said wars will come in the future. Matthew 24:6
(v. 8b) As Christians we acknowledge the reality of seasons of war and peace, but seek peace if possible. 1 Timothy 2:1-7.
Our direct fight is not against humans. Ephesians 6:10-18
Truth #3 – God has given us work for all seasons.
(v. 9,10) God has gives all mankind work as a gift.
(v. 11-15) God has put eternity in every humans heart. God will require an account from every soul. Crhristians and non-Christians must give an account to God how they lived through their seasons.
