Romans 4:7-12 – By Faith, Say Yes to God
1. Biblical justification comes by expressing faith through obedience to God.
(v7-9a) God’s blessings are for people who, like Abraham, are obedient to Him. Abraham was justified around fourteen years before receiving the rite of circumcision. Genesis 12:4, 15:6, 17:24
(v9b) Abraham expressed his faith by simply believing God. God accounted this to him as righteousness. Hebrews 11:8-12; 17-19
2. Biblical salvation comes by exercising believing faith in God’s plan. Matthew 7
(v10) How does God give us His righteousness? Simply by believing God for what He says.
(v11-12) The believer can walk out their salvation every day.
