Matthew 1:18-25
God’s Master plan began before the Creation of the world.
God’s Master plan was to bring glory to Himself and salvation to sinful mankind.
He gave His only Son, Jesus, to be the Savior of all who would believe.
He gave His only Son, Jesus, to be our Dayspring!
Truth #1 – God’s Master plan was for a specific people.
(v18-20) Joseph and Mary were chosen by God to bring about His master plan.
(v21) All of His people. (John 3:16-21, Romans 10:8-13, 1 Timothy 2:4)
Truth #2 – God’s master plan was for a specific purpose.
(v22) Jesus came to save His people from their sins. (Luke 19:10)
Truth #3 – God’s Master plan was for a specific presence.
(v23b) God’s master plan included His divine presence. Immanuel – “God with us”
(v24,25) God’s master plan of presence was fulfilled in the obedience of Joseph and Mary. They called Him Jesus! (Luke 1:26-38)
God’s master plan for Christmas was foretold as history in advance.
