Truth 1: God always requires confession of guilt.
-Mankind’s guilt was real in the past. God made the way for wrong doing to be made right through the Trespass Offering. Man’s confession was public.
-Mankind’s guilt is real today. God still requires our wrong doing to be made right. God made the way for wrong doing to be made right through the blood of Jesus. Today the Believers is to confess sins to God privately and make restitution with those we’ve sinned against. Hebrews 10:26,27; Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23
Truth 2: God always provides atonement for sin.
-Atonement refers to doing what is necessary for two parties to be reconciled.
-God reconciles people to Himself based on His grace and mercy and willingness to forgive. He is looking for a contrite heart in the guilty.
Psalm 51:10-19; Hebrews 10:1-18
Truth 3:God always forgives those who submit to His will.
-God forgave the sinner in the Old Testament who trusted and obeyed His commands.
-God forgives the sinner in the New Testament. True forgiveness is found only through the blood of Jesus.
