His Kingdom Come – His Will Done – (Revelation 20:1-15)

John saw a powerful angel from Heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain (for which to bind Satan) in his hand. The angel overpowered Satan and hurled him into the bottomless pit.

God revealed to John a vivid picture of Saints reigning with Christ Jesus for one thousand years. Satan has zero influence in the millennial kingdom.
The millennial kingdom time period is also referred to as the first resurrection. God determines that those who are in the first resurrection are blessed and holy. He calls the Saints, Priests of God, who will reign with Christ for one thousand years.

God revealed to John that at the end of the thousand-year period (millennial kingdom), Satan will be released from the bottomless pit to deceive the nations for a short time.

Satan futilely attempts to lead a last great rebellion against God. Unrighteous people will follow him but God’s holy fire from Heaven will fall and devour them. Satan will be hurled into lake of fire to be tormented day and night forever.

The last judgement for all of the unrighteous dead happens at the Great White Throne Judgment. Heaven’s accounting books are opened and all unrighteous unbelievers are judged by Jesus for their works done while on earth. God keeps records.

The Bible refers to Death and Hades being cast into the eternal lake of fire. This is where the beast and the false prophet are. This time of judgement is also referred to as the second death. Hebrews 9:27,28

Sadly, anyone’s name not found in the Book of Life, will be hurled (like Satan) into the eternal lake of fire.

Is it possible to escape the Great White Throne Judgment and the eternal lake of fire? Yes, but the only means of escape offered by God is a decision to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior before a person dies. Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-13

Jesus said you must be born again. The Spirit of God will give you this new life when by faith you profess Jesus as Lord and fully surrender your life to His call. He invites you to live with Him now and forever. John 3:1-20

What will your decision be?
