Truth 1: The Sin Offering offered cleaning for the sinner.
-Throughout time, God has always initiated the way to be cleansed from sin. Animals were sacrificed to cover sin in the Old Testament. Forgiveness was arranged by God.
-The Sin Offering was only for sins of omission or committed unintentionally. This shows man is a sinner by nature. Willful sin was not covered under this offering. Hebrews 10:26,27
Truth 2: The Sin Offering was detailed by God to Moses.
-The Sin Offering – offered God’s way – pleased God.
-Through the Sin Offering, showed forgiveness was offered to everyone who would believe and obey.
Truth 3: The Sin Offering was a prophetic act of worship which foretold us what the cross of Christ was all about.
-Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant Sacrifices for sin.
-The Sin Offering pointed to the cross. Jesus purifies us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
