Pray, Be Patient, Do the Will of God – Hebrews 13:18-25

When we succeed in a task we understand, we feel a proper sense of accomplishment. In the Christian life, our greater aim is to one day hear the words of our Lord “Well done, good and faithful servant.” That future hope shapes how we live today. Matthew 25:14-34

The writer of Hebrews humbly asked for prayer, that he might have personal integrity, moral strength, and safe travel. He reminded us that even faithful believers need grace, accountability, and the support of the Church.

Like the early Church, we must walk together in prayer, pursuing holiness and faithfulness in Christ. And by His strength, we must live well day by day, so that, in the end, we may finish well. 1 John 1:1-10

We trust in the God of peace, who raised our Lord Jesus from the dead. Jesus, our Great Shepherd, has secured us through His covenant blood and now equips us with everything we need to do His will.

As we labor with integrity and godly patience, our work becomes an offering that is pleasing in God’s sight. Through Christ, we are not only called but strengthened, made complete for every good work, and have direct access to the Father that endures forever. Ephesians 2:8-10

God’s call and our faithful obedience positions us for the God of peace to accomplish in us what He desires, shaping our lives for His purposes. As we follow our Great Shepherd, Jesus, all that we do according to His will, will bring glory to Him, now and forever. Philippians 4:8-9

As he concluded the Epistle, the writer urged believers to patiently receive his message as an encouragement to strengthen their faith. He expressed his desire for fellowship, possibly visiting them soon, and called the Church to greet their spiritual leaders and all the saints on his behalf, emphasizing unity and love within the body of Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

Through today’s Scripture reading, we are reminded that the Church is a Global Faith Family. This local Church was encouraged that believers from Italy sent them greetings. Today, receive this final precious blessing: “Grace be with you all.”
