Unite the Church for Jesus Sake (1 Corinthians 1:18-31)

Like the Apostle Paul we have our clarion call; preach the Gospel.

Paul was a very educated man with a certain pedigree, yet he preached the power and wisdom of God to the common man in common language.

Paul understood that in every audience there were two types of people. There were those people who were perishing from unbelief and there were those who were being saved by the power of God because they believed.

Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, understood that the preaching of the cross was foolishness to those who would not believe. Afterall, he was one of them when his name was Saul.

God foretold through the Prophet Isaiah that He would destroy worldly wisdom that leads to unbelief. We must listen, obey, and trust the truth from God. Isaiah 29:13-16

God’s power is and God’s wisdom is superior to mans. God is smarter than you.

The Church is God’s chosen ones. He has called us to preach the Gospel.

God’s toolchest is full of common instruments.

God has chosen to show His strength in the Christians weakness.

God’s people must live lives of humility knowing Christ is their fullness. In and of themselves, Believer’s have nothing to brag about.

God’s determined gift is that all Believer’s are in Christ Jesus.

Jesus revealed God’s plan of salvation.

Jesus makes us acceptable to God.

Jesus makes us holy and sets us apart for God.

Jesus provides our ransom from the penalty for sin.

Paul and the Prophet Jeremiah quote the LORD when they exhort us to brag on the LORD! Go King Jesus! Jeremiah 9:23-24
