1 Corinthians 12:1-20
Truth #1 – Christians can be ignorant of their spiritual gifting.
-Spiritual gifts are given by Holy God to every Believer for the good of the Church.
-God has given diverse gifts to the Church but the gifts should bring unity not division.
Truth #2 – Christians differ in gifts, ministries and activities.
-The Holy Spirit gives each individual their spiritual gift. A person may not choose their gifting. We have various gifts but one God!
-The Body of Christ is not just one member but many. All members are useful.
Truth #3 – Christians must embrace their unique gift.
-It is possible to be gifted by the Spirit and not be godly. Sin in a Christian’s life will cause them not to use their gifts.
-It is possible for a Christian to honor God for a lifetime when their spiritual gift is exercised for the glory of God.
